To become a speaker of the conference
Interested persons who are interested in participating at the conference should register at the conference website http://lomcon.ru/ by filling the Application Form https://lomcon.ru/?page_id=929) .
Persons who would also like to present a talk at the conference are asked to send (before April 20, 2023) the title and abstract of the proposed talk to the Conference Secretary by e-mail [email protected] .
Russian entrance visa
For getting the Russian entrance visa participants, in addition to the Application Form (https://lomcon.ru/?page_id=929 ) that should be filled in on the conference website (http://lomcon.ru/ ), should send a copy of the passport page(s) (in jpg format in the attachment to the e-mail address [email protected] ) before April 20, 2023.
Using the filled in Application Form and copy of passport page(s), we shall prepare an official invitation letter and send it to the participant. The official invitation letter is needed for the application for the entrance visa at the Russian consulate. It takes not less than two months for the organizers to prepare and send an official invitation letter to a participant. That is why we would like to ask all participants to send:
- the application for participation (by e-mail to the organizers),
- the filled in Application Form (from the web site of the conference) and
- a cope of the passport page(s) ( in jpg format in the e-mail attachment to the address of the organizing committee [email protected] )
as soon as possible.
Potential participants of the conference will be informed in case of a change in the procedure for obtaining the Russian entry visa.
Arrival to Moscow
Participants and accompanying persons are expected to arrive to Moscow on the 23rd of August, 2023. The opening session of the conference will be held on the 24th of August morning at the Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State University. Participants will be picked up by the organizers at the Moscow International Scheremetievo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo Airports and brought to the conference hotel or university campus.
Accommodation rates, conference fees and social programme
The approximate daily rates per person including the cost of accommodation at the conference hotel (breakfast + lunch, transportation from the airport to the conference hotel, and transportation from the hotel to the conference site on the working days of the conference are included) are as follows: a) single room – 110 Euro, b) double room – 70 Euro.
The cost of accommodation at the university campus is 40 Euro per person per night (lunch is included for the days of the conference). These values can vary and will be finally fixed 2 month prior to the conference.
Registration fee for a participant is 450 Euro, registration for accompanying persons is 250 Euro. Taking into account the current general situation in international money transfers, cash payments are preferred when registering for the conference (it is acceptable to pay in rubles at the official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia). Registration fee in case of remote participation is 100 Euro.
Registration fees will cover: 1) the cost of the conference proceedings proceedings of the 21st Lomonosov Conferences that are planned to by published in The Moscow University Physics Bulletin, Pleiades Publishing), 2) reception and closing banquets and coffee breaks during the working days of the conference, 3) transportation to the conference banquet and from banquet to the hotel or the university campus, 4) two excursions for participants and accompanying persons: a) a sight-seeing bus excursion in Moscow with English speaking guide on the 25th of August afternoon, b) a bus tour to the ancient Russian town Sergiev Posad (75 km away from Moscow) with visit to the Saint Serge Abbey, the historical and icon museums, lunch will be served at the Russian Orthodox Academy on the 27th of August.
The reception banquet will be held on board of a ship that will stream along the river across the central part of Moscow on the 24th of August evening. The closing banquet will be held at the conference site on the 30th of August afternoon.
It will be also possible to organize excursions for accompanying persons during the working days of the conference to different museums and places of interest in Moscow by special requests.
