We are pleased to announce the 20th Lomonosov Conference on Elementary Particle Physics which will be held at the Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, from 19 to 25 of August, 2021. While the local Organizing Committee is already working towards an in-person Lomonosov Conference, other options could be considered depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 worldwide crisis.
The series of the Lomonosov Conferences started to be held on a regular basis in the year 1992, and since 1993 the conferences have been organized each odd year.
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State University and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna) in cooperation with the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Interregional Centre for Advanced Studies, and the Bruno Pontecorvo Neutrino and Astrophysics Laboratory (MSU). The Lomonosov Conferences bring together about 400 theorists and experimentalists to review the present status and future prospects in elementary particle physics. The programme of the 20th Lomonosov Conference will include:
- Electroweak Theory, Tests of Standard Model and Beyond,
- Neutrino Physics, Astroparticle Physics,
- Gravitation and Cosmology,
- Developments in QCD (Perturbative and Non-Perturbative Effects),
- Heavy Quark Physics,
- Physics at Present and Future Accelerators.
It is planed that the 20th Lomonosov Conference will be opened on August 19, 2021 at the Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State University.
The working time of the conference is distributed among three types of talks:
- Review Talks (25 min) that will be held on the morning sessions of the conference,
- Session Reports (20 min) in the afternoon,
- Brief Reports (15 min) in the afternoon,
- Special Sessions of short presentations (5-10 min) and poster sessions are also planned for the conference.
A special Round Table discussion on «Frontiers in Particle Physics» will be held during one of the working days the 20th Lomonosov Conference. Following the tradition that has started in 1995, the 14th International Meeting on Problems of Intelligentsia will be held during the closing day of the 20th Lomonosov Conference on August 25, 2021.
As it was for the previous conferences of this series, the proceedings of the 20th Lomonosov Conference will be published as a book by World Scientific Publ. Co., Singapore.
Interested persons are kindly asked to make registration to attend (to fill in and send to the Organizing Committee the Application Form) before February 1, 2021. This can be done directly from our web site or by e-mail to the Conference organizers.
We should be very grateful if you could inform your collaborators and colleagues who might be interested in attending the meeting.
